Performance Poetry: Aisle 16
Services To Poetry
Tue 25 Sep 8pm Doors 7pm £10 (Friends of Quay Arts £9)
Venue: Quay Arts 01983 822490
In July 2006, armed only with a beat-up Ford Escort, a handful of biros and Kate Bush’s greatest hits, Aisle16 spent five days travelling the length of the country creating a bizarre poetic travelogue of Britannia and her subjects as found under the neon lights of Britain’s service stations. Is there beauty in a KFC mega bucket? Can poetry be created on the M25? Is it really better to travel hopefully than to arrive? Backed by the Aisle16 trademark digital slideshow and told in their ‘multi-vox’ delivery style. Suitable for ages 12 and up.
